"I'm sure Tarkin would be glad that his collection is being put to good use." He believed there was no reason for games at this point. He took one last drink before handing the bottle across the desk. He was glad that he had had the droid bring them three bottles as he had no doubt that they could handle it by the end of the evening.
Harper laughed, tipping the bottle back and taking a good drink. It burned pleasantly. "I'm sure."
He snapped his fingers. "Come here."
It was more of a test than an actual command. Harper liked to push people find where they threw up walls. It had always been a habit. More often than not it had gotten him punched in bars, but that was the risk. He didn't mind.
Krennic gave a laugh, the brandy filling him with a warm rush. Lothal wasn't as boring as he had thought it would be.
"You're going to have to do better than that and we both know it," he pointed out as he leaned back in the chair, propping his feet up on Tarkin's desk carelessly.
Oh, good. It wouldn't be that easy. Harper snapped his teeth at Krennic, grinning. In another situation it would have been a threat. Then he leaned forward and shoved Krennic's feet off the desk, perhaps a bit harder than was polite. "Oh? And what is it we both know, hmm?"
Krennic let Harper shove his legs off the desk and in response he leaned forward to grab the bottle. His gaze met Harper's, raising his brows with a smirk.
"We both know that you'll have to work a bit harder for what you want." Krennic wasn't that easy after all, though he certainly had a reputation in school.
Oh, that attitude was going to get them both in trouble. Harper laughed again, leaning in close until their noses were almost touching. Crowding into Krennic's space. "Hmm. And what is it that you want, Imperial?"
Harper wasn't picky. He found entertainment where it came.
He tapped Krennic's forehead, hard. "Maybe I just want your fancy brandy."
"I thought I made that obvious." He certainly wasn't moving away or protesting Harper taking up quite a bit of his space at the moment. He held out the bottle to the side so Harper would have to come forward if he wanted to grab it.
Harper did move in closer, though not to grab for the bottle. The angle was awkward, but nothing worthwhile ever came without a little pain. He put his hand on Krennic' throat, not squeezing - yet - and leaned in close.
"You I like, Imperial. You have plans."
Probably for the moment in question, but also in a larger sense. There was a scheme at play and even if Harper didn't particularly care to go along with it, he could appreciate the machinations.
But games were games. They ended. This was right now. Harper bared his teeth and kissed Krennic hard.
"Always." Krennic didn't hesitate to grab the front of Harper's shirt as their lips met. He was none too gentle, he doubted that was either of them wanted tonight. He pulled Harper closer against him, he doubted the man's current position was at all comfortable.
But when their lips parted he gave a smirk, letting go of Harper's shirt in favor of running his hands up underneath the material. "I believe you don't need this anymore."
Harper arched at the contact, nearly purring. Krennic had strong hands and wasn't hesitant about using them. "Hmm. Maybe not."
It left him exposed a moment to shrug out of his compression shirt, but that was the risk and the thrill both. Harper dropped it carelessly, baring skin and scars alike.
"You're rather bold with your hands," Harper observed. "Do keep that up."
"Mmm I intend to. But, it may be difficult given the clothes we are wearing," he pointed out thoughtfully, a smirk on his lips. He didn't stop touching Harper, teasing him by running a hand under the waistband of his pants.
His own clothes seemed far too confining as well with Harper practically in his lap like this.
Alas, neither of them were particularly small men. Harper leaned into the touch, eyes bright and wicked. It would take some maneuvering to avoid unfortunate bruises. But such was the risk.
Harper decided he didn't particularly care and unclasped his belt.
"A problem," he murmured. "But luckily I find myself in the company of an engineer."
"Very lucky, and a brilliant engineer at that." He chuckled low in his throat as he considered their situation. He figured bruises were inevitable but it wasn't something he minded.
He pulled off his shirt first, tossing it in the general direction of where his jacket lay on the floor. It took a bit of work to pull off his boots with his feet but he had a lot of practice with making the best of a situation in the heat of moments like these
"Brilliant, are you?" Harper moved back to give himself enough room to get the rest of his armor off. It seemed like bad form to smack someone with your boots when you intended to bed them. This had hardly been his intention when the evening began, but it was interesting enough and he was hardly one to deny opportunity when it came knocking. "I require a practical demonstration."
"I'm good with my hands and have built many...many things...." he murmured as he pulled Harper back against him once the armor and boots were off. He reached down to start to undo Harper's pants with steady hands.
"What about you, Mandalorian? What are your particular...talents?" he challenged with a glint in his eyes.
Pushy, wasn't he? Harper snapped his teeth playfully and allowed it, settling onto Krennic's lap. It was more comfortable without his armor getting in the way. "That would depend," Harper murmured, "on whether I feel like playing along."
He leaned forward and put his hands on Krennic's shoulders, squeezing down hard. Harper was strong and knew how to show it off.
"I bet I could hold you against the wall," he said, almost thoughtfully. "But I think you have something more interesting planned. Don't you, engineer?"
"Could you? That you would have to prove." Krennic certainly didn't protest feeling the other man's strength, if this was easy then that would take the fun out of it.
"I have a few plans, I like to keep my options open," he said before shoving Harper back against the desk none too gently. He figured they both could handle being rough. Bruises could be hidden under his uniform, though it wasn't as if he already had a reputation in high command. "But first, you'll have to do something about your pants, won't you?"
That was going to leave a mark on his back. But, considering the circumstances, one that could be ignored. Harper grunted, considering the problem. Getting his pants off would involve standing, which leave Krennic free to lean back and observe.
That was entirely too easy for Harper's liking.
"You as well," Harper pointed out. He looped his arm around Krennic's shoulders, a deceptively sentimental looking gesture. It gave him better leverage for grabbing Krennic's hair and pinning him back against the chair. He dug his nails into Krennic's scalp, not hard enough to draw blood. But hard enough to make a point. "But maybe I'll oblige. If you ask nicely."
He gave a sharp intake of breath as his hair was grabbed but he wouldn't want Harper to go easy on him. He yanked his head up so he could meet the other man's gaze, defiant and amused. He was definitely liking the direction this was going.
"And what if I didn't ask nicely?" he challenged. "What would you do then?"
Harper laughed into the kiss, delighted. Oh, this was fun. A proper game with a partner who knew all the usual tricks and how best to challenge them. "No. You're a very rude man."
Imperial to the end. Honorless. And oh so interesting.
Harper rocked back on Krennic's lap, just for the feel of it, then stood abruptly. He grabbed Krennic's hair and moved to drag him up by it; either the man would move or he'd be fighting back some sharp pain. "Up, now."
He dearly hoped Krennic would fight. It would be all the better when Harper shoved him against the wall.
"I think you rather like that, though." He didn't hide how much he liked Harper rocking on his lap, groaning low in his throat.
And fight he did. Even when Harper grabbed his hair he pulled back with a snarl, fingers digging into the other man's sides. He wouldn't make this easy, they had the rest of the night to enjoy this and each other. He would make sure Tarkin had a lot to watch as well, wherever he was.
"I like it," Harper agreed, twisting to keep his grip. He'd intended to walk Krennic over to the wall - or possibly drag him - but the man was squirming and the desk was much closer. Harper let go of Krennic's hair only to go for an arm pin. After that it was only a matter of leverage. Get him caught, then bring him down. Kick his legs apart to keep him off balance and lean in close. Harper squeezed Krennic's arm, jerking it up higher on his back than would have been comfortable. A warning and a tease. He was strong enough to hold Krennic down.
Krennic was probably clever enough to get out of it if he really put his mind to it. Harper had a feeling he wouldn't, though.
No doubt Tarkin would wonder about the mess. No doubt it was all being recorded.
No matter. Harper had greater concerns than the propriety of some Imperial who wasn't even there. His interests were caught firmly on the one who'd left three long scratches along his ribs. Blood had been drawn. He could feel the sting of it whenever he exhaled.
Harper laughed, free hand running through Krennic's hair. He let it slide down and tease along Krennic's side. All the while he held Krennic's arm fast, squeezing tight. Behave.
Or don't. It hardly mattered.
Harper pressed into Krennic, smiling.
"And I like you here. You're not afraid of me."
The last bit was said rather thoughtfully. Most people were, whether they admitted it or not. Not this man, though. How strange.

He was getting tired of their game. The rules were stifling when there were far more interesting pursuits to be had.
