If we came up with something...if I could talk to him, convince him, I think he'd be willing to do it. I don't know why, but he listens to me.

Normally, I would suggest temporary isolation in instances like this. A door with a strong lock. That sort of thing. However, I don't think there's a structure in Hadriel strong enough to hold your friend, never mind whether he would be willing to enter it of his own will.
