Everything still feels like it's spinning, but in a good way. She'd never felt like this about anyone before. Those feelings mix with dream-thought and her waking mind as memories blend together. How real this feels. How good it is. How badly she yearns for it. How frightening it was to her before.
She hums, holding Maketh just a while longer. They needed this, she thinks. They both did, especially Rey.
Her arms squeeze around her wife, unable to bare the thought of letting go.
"I don't want to wake up," she murmurs to herself.
Because she realizes that Maketh won't be there when she does.
Maketh closes her eyes, sighing against Rey's neck. Listening to her heartbeat, letting herself settle. The feel of sweat and warm skin, something that ought to be unpleasant but somehow isn't. She's comforted. Safe, even.
"Sleep," she murmurs. "We have all the time in the world."
All the time in the world. It's a nice thought, even when time itself is always fleeting. Every fiber in her wants them to stay here forever, in this moment. Still, Rey wants to believe...
Her eyes flutter shut then, just feeling Maketh pressed to her. Taking in every second of it and committing this moment to a memory so it'll never die.
It'll be a while before she wakes. Take it while it lasts.
