Now that makes her happy. Makes her confident that she's doing something right. Something good. Rey gradually feels herself becoming more self-assured, her fingers pressing harder against Maketh's snatch. Her strokes quicken, not much, but noticable and she doesn't let go or stop this time. Doesn't tease or withhold anything.
Rey tilts her own head back, letting out a heavy exhale when she does. Her chin rests against the side of Maketh's head. Takes in her scent and vibrations.
Someone learns quickly, Maketh thinks. But that's appropriate, isn't it? This is their wedding night. Gravity ought to shift in the wake of their fucking. Or so the talk goes. Maketh nearly laughs at the absurdity of it all. She settles for moaning into Rey's shoulder, biting down. She can feel her chest heaving, hands shaking even as she increases her speed, tracing lines, pressing up.
There's a carnal impulse that possesses Rey then. Not only does this feel good, but she wants to make Maketh feel the same. Feel what she's feeling, body and soul. Through heat and sweat. She relishes everything, from the pulling of her hair to the teeth on her skin. Rey brings her lips down to Maketh's ear, taking quick and sharp nips at the cartilage. Her nails drawing over her lower back. Calloused touch over smooth flesh.
Her middle finger curls into the opening of Maketh's slit, her palm pushing upward; massaging her there. Soft and slow, before finding her momentum again.
You don't have to be so gentle, you know. That's what Maketh had said. And Rey is taking her counsel to heart.
Everything about this is so alien to her that it's exciting. It isn't even so scary to her anymore. Not when it's Maketh, not when it's someone she trusts so dear. The feeling that's been building up since this woman started touching Rey sends a sudden shudder through her that she's never felt before. She lets out an embarassing yelp, close to Maketh's ear, before burying her face into her neck and fair hair.
"Maketh..." Rey gasps. Breath heavy. Rasp. Still caressing between her own wife's legs in synch with their movements, guiding her through like a peculiar new dance.
Maketh laughs suddenly, breathless. She knows that sound now, she knows it and it belongs to them. This moment is only them and it ought to be treasured, kept safe and admired in their hands. She drags her nails down Rey's back in encouragement, urging her on. Just a little more...
A sharp noise escapes that sounds like a laugh of her own. Stifled by her mouth pressed over Maketh's neck as the rise erupts inside of her. All a culimation from the touch to the closeness of then other woman. Her scents and presence flowing all over Rey.
Every inch of her body locks up as the explosion courses through her. Her cries muffled against the other woman's clavicle, propelled by a most primal want. Fingers still massaging over her slit while Rey's own body jerks against Maketh's.
Words fail her. Maketh grins, eyes wide open, and feels her body shudder all over. Her heels digging awkwardly into the couch. One of the glasses ended up on the floor sometime, but didn't break. There's alcohol everywhere, so heavy she can smell it.
Stars practically burst before her eyes, blinding Rey for a few seconds. When she comes to her senses, Maketh is slumped against her. She brings her arms around the other woman, pulling her towards her chest before placing a kiss to her forehead.
The smell of mead and sweat carries, but it's all only an afterthought in Rey's mind. Her mouth curves into a smile as she rides the waves after her climax.
"That was..." Her breath is ragged, still trying to catch up. Next thing she knows, she's laughing with Maketh. "That was really... good. I... ah... Yes."
Rey's arms settle around her, warm and heavy. And it's easy just to go with it, leaning against Rey's chest. Laughing with her. Because it is ridiculous, just a little, how they've ended up here. Mead on the floor, their clothes still half on. Their marriage vows now officially consummated.
How strange that they've ended up here.
She wouldn't have it any other way.
"Hmm," Maketh agrees, patting vaguely at Rey's arm. "Yes."
The area is something of a mess. They'll have to clean it up sooner or later. Rey just opts for later.
Right now, the high still has her reeling, and Maketh is the only thing on her mind.
"We should... do that again sometime."
She's beaming, leaning back so to lay them both side by side over the couch. A bed would have been more convenient, but something about the spacial constraints makes this feel more intimate. Makes her feel closer when she can look at Maketh's face here and now.
"Oh, yes," Maketh agrees, shifting slightly. It's more comfortable that way and Rey is warm and solid. Easy to hold onto. Maketh tips her head a little, watching Rey's face. The warmth in her eyes. She puts her hand on Rey's cheek. "Wife."
With a serene sigh, Rey's eyes flutter shut, before gazing at Maketh in front of her. She leans her head against Maketh's hand, placing a kiss in her palm as she nestles closer. Their legs entwined.
"Wife," Rey echoes with a giddy leap in her chest. "No matter how many times I hear that, I never tire of it."
"Not a title I thought I would ever wear," Maketh admits, tracing the line of Rey's cheek with her thumb. Much like the ring. But she's fond of it now. It belongs to her. She'll keep it as she pleases. "But I am content with it."
Arm still wrapped around Maketh, Rey brings her other hand to her wife's side. She makes small circles over her skin. Just feeling. Taking in this moment.
"So, take it that means I didn't do so bad for a first timer?" She laughs, feeling foolish for being so nervous about this at first.
Rey sighs, still reeling but content. She presses her forehead to Maketh's, savoring her closeness.
"Mm. Wonderful. I like that. Don't know what I was expecting, but... I like it." She pauses, giving Maketh a quick kiss. "Thank you. For being with me."
"I don't know. Maybe it's more about where I'd be. I felt so lost." She cups her hand over Maketh's cheek as well, her thumb stroking her face. "But this? Feels like home."
It's strange. Rey can't think of ever feeling so grounded like this before. She doesn't want to let it go.
Being something of a wayfarer herself, Rey hadn't known what it felt like to settle in one place for very long. And even then, she was almost always ready to pack up and move.
Right now, however, moving is the last thing she wants to do.
She closes her eyes, nuzzling against Maketh's forehead with a serene smile.
Perhaps, in a little while, they'll move to a bed. Maketh feels rather content now, Rey's arms around her. The sound of her breathing a gentle lull in the background. Gently, she flicks at Rey's hair. Smiles against her chest.
Everything still feels like it's spinning, but in a good way. She'd never felt like this about anyone before. Those feelings mix with dream-thought and her waking mind as memories blend together. How real this feels. How good it is. How badly she yearns for it. How frightening it was to her before.
She hums, holding Maketh just a while longer. They needed this, she thinks. They both did, especially Rey.
Her arms squeeze around her wife, unable to bare the thought of letting go.
"I don't want to wake up," she murmurs to herself.
Because she realizes that Maketh won't be there when she does.
Maketh closes her eyes, sighing against Rey's neck. Listening to her heartbeat, letting herself settle. The feel of sweat and warm skin, something that ought to be unpleasant but somehow isn't. She's comforted. Safe, even.
"Sleep," she murmurs. "We have all the time in the world."

She shivers hard. Angles her hand up ever so slightly even as Rey grows bold with her own.
It's like coming home. She shudders and curses, grabbing at Rey's hair.

There's so much to feel, her dress tangled around her waist and Rey's hands pressing everywhere.
Beautiful, Maketh thinks. And this belongs to her.
She sighs. Won't be long now. And it'll be good.

Maketh has lived many places. Conquered some, or watched them be conquered. Some of them had felt right, though very few had been home. But this--
Perhaps she could try.
Maketh tips her head, chasing the feeling.
"I like that."
