That's an honorable sentiment.

[He muses- not really the kind of person for reassurance or empty platitudes. Rome glances down at his hands for a moment, before lifting his gaze back up toward her with a small nod.]

You have my assistance. I'll do anything you ask- be it on record or not.

[It's a dangerous thing that he's giving her, and he's doing it freely, without hesitation, within a month of joining her group. It could be considered rushing, but Rome has been bred and raised to desire direction and authority. He's a tool- a sentient one, but an instrument of another's will all the same. He's fine with it.

Better Maketh than someone less responsible, anyway.]

[He listens to her request, brows furrowing a little when she tells him of the final part, the fact that this man apparently is immortal. It sounds like an unpleasant type of person to go up against- how do you defend yourself against someone who can't die?- but if that's the situation that they're in then he'll need to adapt.

Romulus nods once, solemn.]

I can monitor him discretely, [he promises, filing away the information for further use. He's had training for observation, tracking, that sort of thing, so it should be achievable.

He'd hate to disappoint.]

Am I under the assumption that I am not to engage him for any purpose? If he targets someone else, monitoring his tactics could prove useful- though I could intervene if you'd prefer it.

I understand.

[And he'll do his best- Rome is capable at covert work and he can handle his own if worst comes to worst- though, hopefully it won't come to that. He doesn't want to disappoint his new commanding officer, after all.]

Is there anything else, ma'am?
